PlaySPOT Tuesday, April 28th, 2015 at 10:00 am
Did you know that a child’s most important developmental years are those leading up to kindergarten? Play is the tool young children use to learn. Shepherd of the Hills is pleased to welcome “PlaySPOT” for families with children ages birth to 5 years old. Whether you are a single mother or father, married, or grandparent, we invite you to take part in our monthly play and learn events and discover strategies to support learning through play. This FREE event is a partnership between Family SPOT, a division of Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest, and Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Adults and children will engage in five to six hands on learning stations. Each station is designed to focus on a Kindergarten Readiness skill. Station Facilitators will provide adults with tips, tools, and knowledge to assist your child in reaching their full potential as they play their way to school. Play SPOT also includes story time at which time each family will receive a take home copy of the book and a family learning kit.
Join the Family SPOT team at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 28th in the Education Building at Shepherd of the Hills for the “Marvelous Me” PlaySPOT. Then, play on the grass with the kids and enjoy free time.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to reserve your space. Shepherd of the Hills is located at the corner of El Lago and Fountain Hills Blvd.
