Safe Sitter Training at Shepherd of the Hills
BLAST! It is an important training program for potential babysitters and parents considering hiring a babysitter. The BLAST program is exciting and interactive, providing extensive training in pediatric first aid, household safety, and the fundamentals of childcare. The class will be led by Nancy Spahr, Ed.D, MS, RN and nursing students from Arizona State University.

Designed for people ages 13 and older, their parents, and parents looking to hire a babysitter, the BLAST program can prepare youth to interview for a babysitting job, select safe and suitable games and activities, prevent accidents, perform first aid, and begin babysitting safely and completely. The class will be held on Saturday, November 7, from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm in the Fellowship hall. The cost for the course is $10 per person.
