Restaurant Review : Alchemy and New Fall/Winter Menu 2014

Alchemy at CopperWynd Resort is another one of the hidden restaurant gems of Fountain Hills.  Executive Chef Paul O’Connor raises the bar with thoughtful and refined dishes utilizing fresh and local ingredients wherever possible.  With absolutely gorgeous views (Alchemy is a Diner’s Choice Winner for “Best Ambience and Romantic” and “Scenic View” by Open Table) and top-notch New American dining it’s a major destination for special occasions.  In fact, one of the first times we were at Alchemy for dinner was for our wedding anniversary, where two other tables were also celebrating that night.

Alchemy Fall/Winter Menu 2014

While we tend to have dinner there on special occasions, lunch is also a great option to check out Alchemy at a more affordable price.  Alchemy had literally just switched to their new Fall/Winter menu the day we were there, so we were the first diners to sample their new offerings.  Since the new menus are not yet updated on their website, we decided to share it with you here.

Lunch and Dinner Menu

For lunch, be sure to ask what the Chef’s Trio is for the day.  This is a daily special of a soup, salad, and sandwich.

Alchemy Lunch Review

For lunch, I had the Fall Harvest salad with butternut squash, figs, pumpernickel croutons, burrata, razzcherries, field greens and smoked  tomato vinaigrette.  It was a wonderful combination of sweet and savory.  And of course, the burrata added a creamy richness.

My husband opted for the steak frites, which were incredible.  The sirloin steak was cooked perfectly topped with a compound butter that oozed onto his plate.  The truffle fries topped with parmesan were delightfully addictive.

Hello, Steak Frites!

We have never had a meal that we did not love at Alchemy.  Lunch is a great way to sample their fare, but if you really want to treat yourself and a loved one, be sure to check them out for dinner for an extraordinary dining experience.  Some of our favorites are the seared scallops, pork osso bucco, and duck confit entrees.  Trust me, you won’t regret it!

Alchemy Hours

Hours can be tricky, so be sure to check their website or call for reservations.  For Fall/Winter 2014, they are open Tues thru Saturday for lunch 11am-2pm, and dinner 5-9pm.
